The Unbelievably Delicious Blueberry Bars & Caramel Nutty Balls

My husband always says that I’ve never met a stick of butter that I didn’t like! These two recipes use a nutty, buttery mixture for the base, so this week we are sharing both of them with you!

I  love the Blueberry Bars served warm with vanilla ice cream!

2-1/2 Cups of Flour
1 Cup (2 Sticks) of Melted Salted Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Chopped Pecans
1 (16 oz.) jar of Blueberry or Raspberry Preserves

• Preheat oven to 350º.
• Butter and flour a 9 x 13 pan.
• Combine Flour, Sugar, Butter and Pecans in a mixing bowl.
• Mix until the consistency is that of a cookie dough.
• Press 3/4 of the dough into the pan. (set aside the remaining 1/4 of the dough)
• Spoon preserves evenly onto crust
• Crumble some of the left over dough onto top of preserves.
• Cook 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
• Cut into bars

Blueberry Bar Crust Mixture
1 Bag of Kraft Caramels (Get the unwrapped ones in the baking aisle)
1 Cup Chopped Pecans

• Form remaining dough into small balls.
• Place on foil-covered (or buttered) cookie sheet.
• Cook at 350º for 10 minutes.
• While the balls are baking, melt caramel in the microwave
• Dip cooked balls in melted caramel
• Roll caramel-covered balls in crushed pecans.
• Place on waxed paper, and drizzle with more caramel.
